Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the improvement of learning outcomes and student interest at MA Ali Maksum students on skeletal system materials after the media Aves skeletal system was implemented in the class. This research was carried out by using  class action executed in two cycles. Every cycle consisted of planning phase, action, observation and reflection. The learning outcomes and students interest were obtained from test (pretest and postest) and questionnaires respectively. The results of this research showed that from cycle I and II, the improved learning outcomes was observed with percentage > 80%. Meanwhile, all student showed the high interest to study skeletal system materials due to of using instructional media of Aves skeletal system during learning process in the class. Finally, it can be concluded that using of Aves skeletal system as instructional media in the class was a quite effective.keywords: instructional media, skeletal system, learning biology

Abstract

Abstract- In Indonesia, the use of microalgae is still lacking, therefore, the antibacterial and antioxidant activity of the extract fatty acids from microalgae Nannochloropsis sp. Nannochloropsis sp biomass. extracted by soxhletasi with petroleum ether and ethanol, whereas the fatty acid extraction method by Indonesian National Standard. Antibacterial activity by disc diffusion method and antioxidant activity using the method of reduction of free radicals (DPPH). The results showed that the petroleum ether extract showed antibacterial and antioxidant activity better than the ethanol extract. The results of the identification of fatty acids in petroleum ether extract was dodecanoic acid (18.88%), while the ethanol extract was hexadecanoic acid (14.02%). Keywords: antioxidant, antibacterial, fatty acid, Nannochloropsis sp

Abstract

Siwalan (Borassus flabellifer L.) is widespread in Pamekasan one in the village Kertagenah Laok Kadur district. Potential abundant palm still has the potential to be developed into a usefull and economically product one is nata de nira siwalan. Quality of nata can be influenced by the type and concentration of sugar. The result of this research could be developed into teaching materials in the form of handouts for class XII students MAN Pamekasan. Purpose of this study stated to produce Biotechnology handout for XII students of MAN Pamekasan. This research is conduc-ted by 2 step that is experimental research and developing handout based on the result of experimental study. Expe-rimental research is aim to assess the influence of type and concentration of sugar to the weight of nata de nira siwalan. Result of this research showed that there is significant effect of type and concentration of sugar on the quality of nata de nira siwalan by fiber content of nata layer. Biotechnology handout was fit for use in assisting the teaching and learning activity with the percentage <p> 96,96% by an Microbiology expert and 96,05% by teaching materials expert.Keywords : nata de nira siwalan, macam gula, handout, bioteknologi

Abstract

Abstract - Beluntas leaves contain a variety of active compounds, one of the active compounds, namely tannins. Beluntas leaf tannins can reduce sperm fertilization potential of white rats (Susetyarini, 2010a) and decrease the number of white rat spermatogenic cells (Susetyarini, 2012). However, in these studies have not examined the role of tannins in changing levels of arginine cement white male rats. This aims, administration beluntas leaf tannins in influencing the levels of arginine cement white male rats. This type of research is the experiment with the following treatments: a control group (non-treated) and group treated leaf tannins beluntas. Giving beluntas leaf tannins administered orally as much as 0.8 ml (an effective dose of tannins in inhibiting fertilization of previous research) to white rats once daily for 49 +3, 49 +16, 49 +26, 49 +36, 49 +49 days. Observations were made according to treatment, white rat vas deferens dissected and taken to obtain cement rats. Analysis of the amino acid arginine levels using HPLC. Data were analyzed using ANOVA. The results showed that the effect of tannin There beluntas leaves the amino acid levels arginin white male rats (p <0.05). The control group without treatment giving the average levels of the amino acid arginine 1375.5 mg/100g and the group treated leaf tannins beluntas showed no decrease in the levels of the amino acid arginine of white male rats. Abstract

Environmental education (PLH) is important to give in elementary school (SD) early. PLH not only give knowledge and understanding, but also shaping behavior and forming positive attitudes of students on the environment. PLH’s textbook being an important tools to support the implementation of PLH’s learning. However, in some districts/ cities that have been declared as local content PLH (local content) in elementary education, haven’t PLH’s textbooks sufficiently and in accordance with the needs of the field until now. Therefore PLH’s textbook procurement must be realized. In accordance with the 2013 curriculum elementary school PLH’s textbooks is being developed to support scientific approach based learning that includes observing, questioning, associating, experimenting, and networking. The teaching materials is packed with features, “Let’s understand”. The learning activities is packed with features, “Let’s work together”, “Let’s try”, and “Let’s tell. The concept map is packed with features, “Let’s study”. The summary is packed with features, “Let’s summarize. The reflection is packed with features, “Let’s reflect”. This structures not only empower the thinking skill but also encourages the achievement of positive attitudes and behaviors towards the environment.     Keywords: Development, Text book, Environmental education

Abstract

Abstract-This study aims to document the medical plants and their use for tradisional healing by people the people in Kelingi Rejang Lebong Bengkulu. A research has conducted in Januari-Maret 2014 using observation and purpose interview methods. Herbarium specimens has collected and determined. Result study documented 117 specieses from 53 families af plants were reported to be used by them as medicines for 78 diseases. Diseases such stomached, hypertention, cancer, defacate trouble, ulcerous, fertility, etc. Furthermore, a kind of plant such as Temu lawak (Curcuma xanthorizha/Zingiberaceae) is able to heal more then one diseases. Leaves are the most part of plant used for healing. Followed by fruit and stem. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa, dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode action research (tindakan kelas) dan pada setiap pertemuan dilaksanakan Lesson study yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu plan, do dan see. Hasil Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing Berbantukan Macro Media Flash 8 Pada Mata Pelajaran IPA Berbasis Lesson Study Di SMP dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa di SMP N 3 Sungai Raya Kabupaten Bengkayang pada siklus I yaitu 30% dan untuk siklus II sebesar 80%, untuk SMP N 9 Mekar Sari Kabupaten Kubu Raya pada siklus I sebesar 29,03% dan pada siklus II sebesar 77%. Pada SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kota Pontianak siklus I sebesar 18,05% dan pada siklus ke II sebesar 74,07%, dan SMP Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Kabupaten Kubu Raya pada siklus I sebesar 20% dan pada siklus ke II sebesar 85,71%. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa juga terjadi karena adanya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran. Peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran terjadi karena pada setiap pertemuan pembelajaran dilakukan lesson study. Upaya tersebut dilakukan secara kolaboratif dan berkelanjutan. Pelaksanaanya adalah di dalam kelas dengan tujuan memahami siswa secara lebih baik. Lesson Study dilaksanakan secara bersama-sama dengan guru lain. Kelompok guru mengembangkan pembelajaran secara bersama-sama, salah seorang guru ditugasi melaksanakan pembelajaran, guru lainnya mengamati belajar siswa. Kata Kunci : Inquiry terbimbing, Macro media flash, dan Lesson Study, Pelajaran IPA

Abstract

Abstract- Currently about 50% of birds known in the world are threatened with extinction because of declining quality and loss of habitat. Hunting of wild animals also affect the extinction of birds. Generally, the loss of a habitat is affected by human activities for various reasons, such as land clearing and felling of trees to meet human needs. This happens in some Gunungkidul beach, especially Siung and Wedi Ombo Beach.This research had done on June-July 2013. Observation was using point count method by following the existing lines. In this method the observer walking along the lane / road accompanied with a predetermined observation points is 10 points. At each point, the observations made during the 15-minute observation distance to the left and right as far as ± 25 meters and the distance between a point 200 meters.Based on the research that has been done, in the region Siung Beach recorded 24 families consisting of 44 species of birds. Wedi Ombo Beach recorded 19 families consisting of 33 species of birds. The results of the analysis of bird species diversity index in Siung indicated high diversity, the spread of the number of individuals of each type of high or very wide, and the stability of high community value diversity index 3.074. While Wedi Ombo Beach, indicated moderate diversity, the number of individuals of each type of deployment being and stability of the community with the value of diversity index was 2.584. Keywords: Bird Biodiversity, Gunungkidul, Karst, Siung Beach, Wedi Ombo Beach

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the growth and survival of mud crab (Scylla serrata) with different water sources and different types of feed. This study used a design Plots Divided (Split Plot Design), with the main plot of water resources (soil and brackish water and brackish water of the channel) and the subplot kind of feed (trash fish, squid, crab wideng) with replications for three (3) times . Feeding twice a day ie morning (at 06.00) and afternoon (17:00 hours) at a dose of 15% of the feed weight. The study was conducted from November to December 2013. Biota initial weight ± 100 g. Parameters measured were the growth of the absolute weight of mud crab (Scylla serrata) and survival rates. The results showed growth in the absolute weight of mud crab (Scylla serrata) week 1 to week 4, there is a tendency to rise and survival rate evenly among all treatments. The growth of the absolute weight of mud crab (Scylla serrata) the best of the week 1 to week 4 are the treatment of brackish ground water sources and feeding trash fish. At week 4, which is the end of the study the highest absolute growth of 57.7600 g ± 5:44 (brackish ground water and trash fish) and the lowest was 35.0000 ± 1.80 g (brackish ground water and crab wideng). As for the survival rate of mud crab (Scylla serrata) at 96.3% on a weekly basis.Keywords : feed type, survival, growth,, Scylla serrata, water resources.

Abstract

Kediri is an industrial town in which the industry has become main commodity livelihood for its citizen. The rapid of technology encourages the growth of industries that have great contribution for environmental pollution; one of them is sugar factory in Kediri. This factory produces liquid waste that it contains organic and un-organic compounds which its presence trigger Eichornia Crassipes grows rapidly in the river. In addition, Eichomia Crassipes has a potential as an Agnesia cleaners. This study is aimed at determining the effect of sugar factory liquid waste to the growth of Eichornia Crassipes. True experimental type RAK was selected as a research design, in which the treatment was done by 0% (as control), 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% and it was repeated 5 times. Observed parameter included root length, stem length, length and width of leaf. The systematic data was analyzed using STAT program version 2.6. the results showed significant differences in the growth of the Eichornia Crassipes  morphology on root length, stem length, length and width of leaf width and the 100 % liquid waste of sugar factory  highest average was found on the length root of stalk. On the other side, liquid waste of sugar’s factory can be used as an organic fertilizer to some extent (deposited waste). Keywords: Eichornia Crassipes, liquid waste, morphological structure
